TURNBUCKLES

Absolute turnbuckles are compatible with most wire-to-turnbuckle interface. The turnbuckles can be supplied with jaw and eye terminals or a combination of both.

The hexagonal body simplifies the initial adjustments by hand and the fine tuning by a key. Blocking nuts are included at each terminal end.

All our turnbuckles have their bodies and rods, jaws and toggles machined from extruded bronze for maximum strength and durability. Always use a toggle with every turnbuckle.

TURNBUCKLES for Tie down Rods

We can supply custom turnbuckles with extra-long rods to be used as under deck rigging “tie down rods” for fore stays to stem or side stays to mast foot connections.

TURNBUCKLES for Backstays and Preventers

We can supply custom turnbuckles with a longer body in combination with a lever wheel for aid and rapid fine adjustment. This extra take-up turnbuckle permits considerable mast tuning on and off the wind even under considerable strain.

TOGGLES

A toggle should be used with each turnbuckle. It will provide a universal joint at the point of flex, preventing bending of the threaded turnbuckle rods, and considerably reduces metal fatigue.

All our turnbuckle toggles are machined from extruded aluminum bronze and can be finished in polished bronze or be chrome plated.
